The last few days I've been living in a winter wonderland

Snow and ice.
Freezing cold.
Hats and gloves and scarves and red noses.
Taking photos from inside the frozen car.
We had to wait a while for it to thaw.

Cards.
Candles and electric heaters.
Hot water bottles.
Miracle of 34th Street.

Parcels. Presents. Sellotape. Stamps.
Christmassy google.
Well wishes from strangers.

Counting down...
to seeing family, to hugs and laughter
to flying to Holland!!

I think Christmas is almost here!!
Can you feel it?

  3. I think I can feel Christmas coming after seeing your photos. It has been tough to feel Christmasy in Texas - we had a warm front and the high is about 70 today.

Your snow and ice helped me feel chilly on the inside at least!

  11. Ah yes, I can feel it! I'm sort of wishing for a winter wonderland, but not in Texas. I'll be leaving for Santa Fe, New Mexico on Sunday and I would love for it to snow while we're there. I have to board my Doberman while I'm gone and he'll be in an outside run at the Kennel, so I want it to stay as warm as possible in Texas for him. (He's an inside dog so I'm worried for him.) I must say your trip to Holland sounds so exciting! I love how you get to travel! Can't wait to live vicariously through your pictures!

    Happy Holidays, Saskia!

  15. It's hard to feel super Christmas-y in Arizona with our sunny and 70 degree weather, but your pics sure do the trick! Although, we do have storm rolling through that should bring colder temps and maybe some rain (gasp!). Merry Christmas, friend! xoxo
