to celebrate my brother in law's big four oh
It was peaceful, sunny and full of laughter and bubbly.
It was peaceful, sunny and full of laughter and bubbly.
We wanted to see the seals that apparantely lurk along the Lincolnshire coastline in early November but the only furry creatures we saw were sheep. Not quite as exciting.
We walked.
I snapped.
Others danced.
Molly, my niece, wrapped up warm.
On Saturday evening there were poems, short stories, songs and games.
And Mr B and I lit some sparklers in the midnight air after everyone else had gone to bed. Magical.
Please can we all go back for another weekend away soon?

ReplyDeleteI love weekends away. I can't wait for my novio to arrive so we can have weekends away together. Your pics are beautiful. They remind me of the footpaths that I used to walk upon when I lived in England. It was one of the things my family loved - having so many footpaths that snaked through the countryside. We had a book and we'd pick paths and then explore England by foot. Great times.

Yup, I lived in England, but a long time ago. I think 91-94 or something. It was for 6th, 7th, and 8th grade. My dad was in the military so I actually lived overseas until I was 14, for the most part. We lived in Biggleswade, Bedfordshire. It was beautiful. We loved it. I would love to go back, but haven't actually made it back to any of the places I used to live. One day maybe. Your pictures make me want to go back even more. Have a great day!
