Weekly wrap up

This week has been full of bangs, crackles, pops, bright flashes and poor scared animals at home. It was Guy Fawkes night last night. The Meesh and I hunkered down and watched the fireworks from the warmth of the upstairs windows.

This week Mr B has been revising and doing exams for work. It's not been fun. I was demoted and a thick text book and pencil took my place. Needless to say he rocked those exams. And has a few extras letters after his name too.

This week I've been meaning to start An Ordinary Man, but haven't. On that note, please watch Hotel Rwanda if you get the chance.

This week, thanks to Maegan, I've been watching these makeup tutorials and I've splashed out on my favourite MAC lipstick {hug me} and {underage} lipglass.

This week this news article made me cry.......

This weekend we're off to a lovely little cottage by the sea!
I promise lots of photos!

{and I'm taking my Holga containing Marisa's roll of film!!}

  1. Hotel Rwanda... very touching and sad movie. Reminds me of the cruelty of humanity that can ultimately be overcome by goodness, if everyone would only be open minded to the positive.

    Thanks for the link about November 5th...quite educational for me! Enjoy your weekend by the sea and I can't wait to see your beautiful photos! If only you could post a sample of what it will all smell like, too! (perhaps that will become part of technology someday!)

    Happy Friday to you and Mr. B! And congrats regarding his new credentials! How exciting!

  3. Glad you enjoyed bonfire night too! Tom and I braved Clapham Common for the fireworks - it was chaos, but worth it, the display was quite spectacular! Sadly trying to find my friends there was like playing Where's Wally :P

    Well done to Mr B, and enjoy your weekend by the sea! xx

  5. Saskia - Hotel Rwanda - another great film. I recently watched Sin Nombre - it was really amazing, although traumatic. You should check it out (as long as you don't mind reading subtitles or you speak Spanish). I read that news article too - amazing that a six year thought to do that. Kids are so special.
    Have a fabulous weekend!

  18. I've watched hotel rwanda, and it's a great great movie! loved it, very inspiring!

    aw, I always think it's so sad for animals, when there's firework. The family dog (actually, my uncles dog) was always hiding and shivering under the bed, every new years eve! sad... :S
